Conflicts in Syria

ISIL has caused many acts of violence and threatened the freedom of its citizens. The ISIL has also been involved in the murders or innocent US citizens. Religion and ethnic minority groups are also threatened due to ISIL.  Obama's main approach is to have authorization to send military forces to take action again ISIS. Allies in the middle east and in North Africa where ask to take action in this conflict.  Obama asks for a 3 year duration, and every 6 months to report specific actions towards the war. Also anyone closely related or is associated with ISIL will be considered a target.

Prohibition in Action

The prohibition act was ratified in January 1919 and was enacted in January 1920. Conflicts arose out of this many acts against this took place. Smuggling alcohol became common during this time.

Effects:

Brewing and distilling Alcohol Illegal, companies where no longer able to make there own alcohol. This caused bootlegging(Making liquor illegally.) to take place. This leads to the next effect which is crime rate increasing.

Crime was huge during the prohibition. People saw the laws as unimportant and disregard most of them. There was no respect given to the laws and the systems of justice. Many thefts and murders took place during this time. Looks like there was more bad than good from this.

Financial issues where big during this considering people had lost there jobs in the liquor business. Many bartenders or bar owners had to look for low paying jobs to make a living. Most would end up becoming criminals themselves. This was there only way to survive and support their families.

Physical harm was common from bootlegged liquor such as wood liquor. People experienced organ failure or blindness from this problem. This relates to some of the illegal drugs today. Also cigarettes use increased after this act.
State and federal Government grew after this from taxes. Prices of liquor where then increase due to this. People payed more little liquor.
